With the intention of introducing Nepal's rich history and cultural display Adventure Treks Nepal has planned this day with Cultural Tour of three of the World Heritage Sites and important religious sites. Breakfast will be served at the Hotel after which we proceed towards the ancient palace of Bhaktapur now commonly known as Bhaktapur Durbar Square. This 15 km drive from Kathmandu will take you away from the main city and onto the old settlement inhabited by the Newar community where you can still see the palace from 17th century. Our professional tour guide will accompany you as you wander into the surrounding area while he explains each and every tiny detail about this artistic town. The second half of the day consists of a visit to two religious pilgrimage sites for Hindu and Buddhist religion. Pashupatinath temple, a Hindu shrine is the most important Shiva temple in the world where during your visit you will see many burning bodies as a part of Hindu cremation process and you get the opportunity to learn about many rituals that people follow in Nepal. Bouddhanath Stupa, the biggest stupa of South Asia is the last destination for Today. This Stupa is believed to hold remains of Buddha and is a holy place for people following Buddhism. After completing all three destinations you will be dropped at your hotel for refreshment and free time.

We depart from Kathmandu early in the morning to avoid traffic. Just after leaving Kathmandu valley we will be greeted with amazing views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal range. The drive to Pokhara is filled with pleasing views of local villages and rivers. On the drive we will be binding along two of the major rivers i.e. Trishuli and Marshyangdi River which makes our drive more interesting. Pokhara is best known for its tranquil atmosphere and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Normally, we arrive by midafternoon so you have time to explore or relax as you prepare for the journey ahead.

Today we will officially enter the Annapurna Conservation Area. There are many starting points for Mardi Himal Trek. We prefer to take the route from Hyangja because on the trail today you will pass many villages interacting with locals. This path is off the beaten path and has very few people trekking. So you will witness some glimpse of real Nepal. After hiking up the wide road for 3 hrs, we will arrive at a village called Astham, inhabited by Brahmins and Gurung community. Lunch will be provided in Astham after which we continue following a ridge towards Dhampus for overnight stay.

Your first sunrise in the Annapurna will greet you with a panoramic display of the entire Annapurna Range. After enjoying the breakfast with an outstanding background setup we leave towards the forest camp. Today's walk includes walking mostly inside the jungle after Pritan Deurali. The trail to Pritam Deurali has great views all along. During spring, the second part of today's trail will showcase beautiful Rhododendron. There are many uphill sections on today's trail so be mentally prepared for that.

We leave Forest Camp after breakfast and enter into the Rhododendron and Oak forest once again. The trail gradually up towards Low Camp where our team will spend some time relaxing as you can observe a clear view of Mt. Machhapuchre (Fishtail). It is also a good Lunch spot with a view. Continuing further towards Badal Danda you will notice the tree line becoming thinner as we approach above 3,000 meters. You can catch a wonderful sunset from Badal Danda, sometimes the entire skyline below is filled with clouds.

Waking up with glorious views, we have a short day ahead so if you want to take it easy in the morning, your guide will be flexible with that. The trail today is short but will be a bit challenging as the air becomes thinner. With outstanding views throughout the trail we arrive at High Camp, the last settlement of Mardi Himal Trail. The remainder of the day is at leisure for acclimatization. Your body needs some rest before you head towards base camp.

This day is the highlight of the trip. We start very early in the morning and catch one of the best sunrises from Mardi View Point. The sunrise from this viewpoint will be in your heart for a long time, it's just magical. After enjoying the sunrise with a cup of tea we continue ahead towards Mardi Himal Base Camp. We need to gain another 300 meters to arrive at the base camp and it takes around 2 hrs from view point. As we get near to the base camp the south face of Annapurna I gradually begins to appear in sight. Enjoy Himalayan view along with valleys from base camp before retracing towards High Camp for overnight stay.

We begin our journey back towards Pokhara city after soaking in splendid sceneries of Annapurna Range. The trail until Low camp will be the same trail that we took to hike up. From low camp we take a different route in the direction on Sidhing village. The trail from low camp once again enters into thick forests and goes down continuously. We spent our last night in Annapurna Conservation Area in Sidhing.

The walk today will be mostly downhill on a wide motorable road. This road winds in the forests until lumre where we plan to end our trip. The road from lumre is in very good condition because Adventure Treks Nepal chooses to avoid the off road drive until lumre. With chirping sounds of birds we have a short day of hiking on our last day.

Pokhara is not just known for its natural beauty but also has many religious temples and monuments scattered around the city. Today's plan is to explore the sightseeing spots in Pokhara city. Once you get done with the sightseeing you will have leisure time. You may walk around Lakeside for souvenir shopping.

After breakfast in Pokhara, we have a mountain flight to Kathmandu; it is a thrilling, exciting flight over forests, fields and villages with the Himalayas in the background. On arrival, we transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure for any last minute shopping for your loved ones.

There are plenty of interesting sites to visit in the Kathmandu valley like the Old Palaces at Patan, Bhaktapur, Durbar square, Swayambhunath (the monkey temple or you may wonder downtown Thamel to shop for souvenirs and sample the various restaurants of Kathmandu. We are happy to offer you some recommendations.

A representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will drop you to the airport. Return back home with the memories for lifetime.
